Kanpur, 15 November (Hindus). On the occasion of Kartik Purnima, crowds of devotees gathered at all the ghats of Ganga in Kanpur from Friday morning. Devotees took bath in the holy Mother Ganga and offered Prasad after performing the rituals. Along with this, donated to the poor present on the banks of Ganga. On this occasion, strict arrangements have been made for the security of all the ghats of Ganga.
On the occasion of Kartik Purnima, there was a huge crowd of devotees to take bath on the occasion of Kartik Purnima at all the ghats of Mother Ganga in Kanpur city including Sarsaiya Ghat, Parmat Ghat, Siddhanath Ghat, Maskar Ghat, Atal Ghat.
Regarding the security of the ghats on Kartik Purnima, Additional Police Commissioner Law and Order Harish Chander inspected the safety of the devotees who reached Bithoor Ghat. The police force and security arrangements were tested to ensure the successful completion of the bathing festival. The police were seen repeatedly appealing to the bathers regarding the safety of the devotees.
