Eknath Shinde will not accept the post of Deputy CM of Maharashtra: Shiv Sena
In this matter, Shiv Sena has now made it clear that Eknath Shinde will not accept the post of Deputy CM of Maharashtra. Therefore he will not accept the post of Deputy Chief Minister. In this Maharashtra Assembly elections, Mahayuti has won 230 out of 288 seats.
Statements of Shiv Sena and BJP are different
According to media reports, the Shiv Sena leader claims that, ‘After Mahayutiya’s poor performance in the Lok Sabha elections, it was decided that if Mahayutiya wins the assembly elections, Eknath Shinde will be made the Chief Minister.’ Whereas BJP leaders say, ‘It was already decided that after the election results, all three parties will sit with the leaders and take a decision.’
In 2022, NDA government was formed in Maharashtra only because of Shinde.
Despite emerging as the largest party in the 2019 elections, BJP could not come to power due to its alliance with Uddhav Thackeray. But, after two and a half years, Eknath Shinde rebelled in Shiv Sena and joined hands with BJP, due to which the NDA government was formed. That means, because of Shinde, NDA government was formed in Maharashtra in 2022.
