Kolkata, 09 November (HS). Senior BJP leader and Leader of Opposition in the West Bengal Assembly Subhendu Adhikari on Saturday alleged that violence against women in the state, especially R.G. Crimes like rape and murder of a female doctor of Kar Hospital will stop only when Mamata Banerjee steps down from the post of Chief Minister. He made this statement while campaigning in support of the BJP candidate in Taldangra assembly constituency of Bankura district, where by-election will be held on November 13.

The officer said that incidents of horrific crimes against women are continuously coming to light in West Bengal, but the police is not paying attention to them. All this will end when Mamata Banerjee will no longer hold the post of Chief Minister.

He further said that R.G. The victim of Kar Hospital should get speedy and accurate justice. The officer said that it would have been better if the justice in this case had been administered outside the state. However, the Supreme Court on Thursday rejected the plea to transfer the case outside West Bengal. The court framed charges against main accused Sanjay Roy in Kolkata court on November 4 and ordered to start daily hearing of the case from November 11.

Senior Trinamool Congress leader Kunal Ghosh said that some political parties and organizations will protest against R.G. They are trying to instigate people regarding the incident that took place in the medical college and hospital. He said, “It is noteworthy that the accused was arrested by Kolkata Police within 24 hours of the incident, and the CBI has also named him as the prime accused. We all want R.G. The tax victim should get justice, but there should be no politics on this issue.”
