West Indies Cricket Board has issued a new central contract. This time the West Indies Cricket Board has taken a big decision regarding its players through the central contract. Players are going to get multi-year contracts for the first time. Once again many big players of West Indies have been kept out of the central contract, whereas these players have consistently performed brilliantly. Kaveem Hodge, who made his debut for West Indies in Test cricket against Australia this year, got his first central contract.
The central contract includes 15 men and 15 women players
This central contract has been issued after the signing of a 4-year MoU between the West Indies Cricket Board and the West Indies Players Association. Of the 15 male players, 6 have been given multi-year contracts. Which includes Shay Hope, Alzarri Joseph, Shamar Joseph, Brandon King, Gudakesh Moti and Jaden Seals. Additionally, three of the top 15 women players have received multi-year contracts. These include the names of Shamin Campbell, Hayley Mathews and Stephanie Taylor.
