The craze for the Char Dham Yatra is increasing among foreign nationals as well. The number of foreign devotees registering for the visit of the four Dhams including Kedarnath-Gangotri is also increasing.
Special measures have been taken by the government for the registration of foreign nationals for the Chardham Yatra. So far, 19,809 foreign nationals have registered for the Chardham Yatra including Kedarnath-Gangotri. Among the foreign nationals who have registered for the Chardham Darshan, the highest number is of American citizens. While passengers from Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan to Qatar have registered. In the Chardham Yatra which started on May 10 this year, so far more than 41 lakh pilgrims have registered for the darshan. More than 21 lakh devotees have visited. According to the Uttarakhand government, citizens of 109 countries of the world have registered for the Chardham Yatra through various means. This includes 5292 people from America, 4358 from Malaysia, 2023 from Bangladesh, 1906 from England and 927 from Australia. 13,527 Nepali citizens have also registered for the Chardham Yatra.
