Saharsa, 23 September (HS). The 13th Zonal Conference of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) CPI (M) was held in the Primary School Kavaila. The red flag was hoisted by Comrade District Minister Randhir Yadav. The song Lenin Ke Vardaan Hamara Pyara Lal Nishan was sung by Chhoti Kumari and Nidhi Kumari, after which the party leaders and workers garlanded, offered flowers and paid homage to the oil painting of CPI (M) National General Secretary Comrade Sitaram Yechury. After which the open session was presided over by Comrade Vyas Prasad Yadav.
Addressing the gathering, CPI district minister cum former chief Randhir Yadav, targeting the double engine government, said that law and order has failed in the entire state. An atmosphere of police repression has been created. No work is done in any government office without bribe. People are being looted in the name of mutation and survey. On the other hand, government institutions are being handed over to a handful of capitalists at a throwaway price. The names of people working in various institutions are being struck off. Due to the anti-farmer and anti-people policies of the government, suicides have increased.
Dr Ajay Kumar Singh said that the government wants to deprive the poor from education so that blind faith and untouchability can increase rapidly; eat two less rotis but do educate your children. CPI (M) leader Comrade Mithilesh Kumar Singh also addressed the gathering. Zonal Minister Ramesh Yadav presented the report of previous works in which 11 comrades participated in the discussion on the report of previous works, after which a new 19 member Zonal Committee was formed. In which, with unanimous consent, Comrade Ramesh Yadav once again became the CPI (M) Saur Bazar Zonal Minister.
