Court rejected the petition filed against Rahul Gandhi in Varanasi

Varanasi, 28 November (HS). Congress leader MP Rahul Gandhi has got a big relief from the court here in the case of inflammatory statements made recently in America. After hearing the petition filed against him, the court of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate IV/MP-MLA Neeraj Kumar rejected it on Thursday. After the last hearing, the court had fixed Thursday for the order.

Nageshwar Mishra, former head of Tilmapur village of Sarnath police station area, had filed an application in the court through his advocates. Through the petition, Mishra had said that Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, who had recently visited America, had given a statement saying, ‘There is an atmosphere of insecurity among the Sikhs in India. They do not have the right to wear turban and bangles nor are they allowed to go to Gurudwaras. The former Pradhan accused the Congress MP of giving an inflammatory speech and said that people are hurt by his statement. In such a situation, a demand was made to the court to order a report against Congress MP Rahul Gandhi under appropriate section. The suit was dismissed due to lack of evidence. The court said that the statement against which the court was requested to file a case was given in America. In this case, the record regarding obtaining prior permission to register the case was not presented in the court.
