A New York judge has ordered former President Donald Trump to pay a fine of about $35.5 million i.e. Rs 2946 crore in a civil fraud case. The beginning of this year has been difficult for Trump. Earlier, a New York jury last month ordered retired magazine columnist E. Jean Carroll to pay a fine of $83.3 million in a defamation case and now the court has imposed a huge fine of $355 million on him.
According to the information, Justice Arthur Angoron's decision came after a civil case in New York on Friday. Which was very dramatic. Meanwhile, Trump and his lawyer were seen repeatedly clashing with the judge inside and outside the court room. The former US President has been banned from doing business in New York for the next three years. The decision stems from fraudulent business practices used by the Trump Organization to secure soft loans.
According to reports, Donald Trump and his two sons, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, inflated the value of their assets by millions of dollars to take out huge loans. Trump Jr. and Eric Trump have been fined four million dollars each. He has also been banned from doing business in New York for the next two years. It remains to be seen how the former US President will pay this fine. However, Trump's team has said that it will appeal the decision in court.
