Ranchi, September 24 (HS). The court of NIA Special Judge MK Verma on Tuesday, after hearing the application filed by the National Investigation Agency (NIA), has given permission to obtain and investigate voice samples of accused Naxalite Sabyasachi Goswami. The court has directed the State Forensic Science Laboratory (SFSL) Director Ranchi to depute an expert to obtain voice samples of the accused person in the NIA branch office while he is in police remand.
After getting permission, now NIA will get the voice of CPI Maoist Naxalite Sabyasachi Goswami alias Ajay alias Pankaj tested by SFSL. Currently, NIA team is interrogating Sabyasachi Goswami on police remand. This interrogation will continue till 27 September. The accused is a resident of West Bengal. He is accused of expanding and reviving the organization and its ideology as well as recruiting new cadres and conducting training while being a CC member of the CPI (Maoist) organization.
