Deoria, 02 December (HS). The police on Monday revealed the murder of a minor girl that took place in the district recently. Police have claimed that the couple has sacrificed their maternal uncle’s daughter in the name of Tantramanch.
Superintendent of Police Sankalp Sharma, during a press conference in the auditorium located at Police Lines on Monday, told that on November 27, the body of a girl was recovered in Bhatni area. In this regard, the missing girl was registered in the police station a day earlier. Looking at the condition of the body, it was suspected that he had been murdered. While inspecting the incident site, teams were deployed under the leadership of Additional Superintendent of Police South Sunil Kumar Singh to unravel the matter.
Superintendent of Police said that the team arrested Sheshnath Yadav and his wife Savita Devi from their house. On their information, a knife kept hidden on the balcony of the house and blood soaked clothes were recovered by the police.
During interrogation, Savita told that her son Sanjay is mentally ill. She made many efforts to cure him, but was unsuccessful. He even learned the knowledge of Tantra-Mantra through YouTube and other mediums. One day she had a vision of the goddess in her dream who told her that if she sacrificed a minor girl, her son would be completely cured. She was looking for one such girl.
During this time, Awadhesh goes to attend the wedding of his brother-in-law Gainalal Yadav, who appears to be his maternal uncle and aunt. They also came with their families to attend the wedding. While playing, his minor daughter had come to the old house situated at some distance from his new house. We coaxed him and stopped him and everyone went to the new house. After this, my husband and I together sacrificed the girl near our door in the courtyard of the house. We hid the body under a load of corn stalks in a deserted place at some distance from the house so that no one would suspect them.
Deputy Inspector General of Police, Gorakhpur has recommended the team that made the revelation to be honored with the Director General of Police Commendation Mark. Besides, a reward of Rs 50,000 has been announced for encouraging the police team.
