Counting supervisors/counting assistants, micro-receivers understood the nuances of counting

Bemetara, May 30 (HS). Collector and District Election Officer Ranbir Sharma on Thursday completed the final training of counting supervisors/counting assistants, microregistrers in two shifts in the Disha hall of the Collectorate. The first shift training was at 11 am and the second shift training was at 2 pm.

Collector Ranbir Sharma while addressing the counting training program said that utmost caution should be exercised during counting. Counting is the last stage of the entire election process. Therefore, everyone's eyes are focused on the counting process. In such a situation, the role of all of you becomes the most important in counting.

He said in the training of vote counting that all the counting supervisors/counting assistants, micro receivers who play a role during the counting of votes should have detailed knowledge of all aspects of vote counting. For the counting process to be completed in a transparent manner at the counting centre, the counting should be impartial and full of information related to all the processes. Be gentle and kind-hearted.

The Election Commission of India should entrust the responsibility of counting the votes of the three assembly constituencies of the district for the counting of votes to be held on June 4 at the Krishi Upaj Mandi located at the district headquarters under the Lok Sabha general election, and it should be done with full responsibility. The counting of votes recorded in the EVMs will begin at 8 am.

Master trainer Sunil Jha gave detailed information on the role of counting at the counting place, counting of ETPBS and postal ballots and all the points related to counting of votes through EVMs. The master trainers also shared information on many important topics like how many tables are to be set up in the counting hall, how the tables are to be set up, how many candidates, their authorized representatives and counting agents will be there and at which places they will sit, which table should be set up for counting VVPAT, what precautions need to be taken etc.
