Badaun, June 03 (HS). Counting of votes for Badaun and some parts of Aonla Lok Sabha constituency in the district will be held on June 4 at Mandi Samiti in Badaun. To ensure peaceful counting of votes, District Election Officer Manoj Kumar and Senior Superintendent of Police Alok Priyadarshi inspected the counting centre set up at Mandi Samiti on Monday.
The District Election Officer said that all preparations for counting of votes have been completed. The training of officers and employees and the rehearsal of counting of votes have also been completed successfully. On June 4, the postal ballots will be counted first. After this, counting of votes will start at 8 o'clock. The VVPAT slips will be matched after the counting of votes. Agents will remain at their own tables only. Only the candidates and their election agents can go to other tables. One supervisor, one micro observer and one ARO will be appointed at each counting table. All preparations have been completed in terms of security. For the security of EVMs, the Mandi Parishad is being monitored with drone cameras and a three-tier security circle has also been created.
