Councillors came down with bulldozers playing drums to warn officials in the flooded area

Jabalpur, 22 July (HS). Due to heavy rains since midnight, many areas of the city got flooded. Due to the negligence of the Municipal Corporation, the condition of the citizens has become hellish. Rainwater got inside their houses. Along with this, due to lack of means of water drainage in the area, the situation has become bad. The problem of waterlogging has been going on in Maharana Pratap Ward for the last ten years, in which dirty water fills the houses. Ward Councilor Jeetu Katare said that the entire life of the citizens gets disrupted, children are not able to go to school, if someone falls ill, then there is a lot of problem in taking him to the hospital, it is impossible to take a pregnant woman.

The councilor says that the information was continuously given to the responsible officials for the last one and a half months. The Commissioner, Divisional Officer, Health Officer, all of them were being requested daily but the officials are not ready to listen. To wake up the officials, the councilor called for drums and himself reached the waterlogged area with a JCB machine and tried to drain the water with the JCB. Meanwhile, when the officials came to know about this with the video going viral on social media, all the officers and employees appeared in a hurry. After this, the councilor also warned them that if the water is not drained and there is waterlogging, then definitely a dharna will be held by sitting in the water.
