Mumbai: Prices of various domestic and imported edible oils increased in Mumbai oilseed market today. Due to increase in demand, 300 to 400 tonnes of imported palm oil was traded. In Saurashtra, cotton wash increased from Rs 930 to Rs 940. In Mumbai market, the price of 10 kg castor oil has increased from Rs 1550 and the price of cottonseed oil has increased from Rs 975 to Rs 980.
The price of imported palm oil increased to Rs 897 from Rs 895, while the price of crude palm oil CPO Kandla rose to Rs 885. Mumbai soybean oil prices increased to Rs 885 for degum and Rs 925 for refined. Mustard: The price of mustard oil increased to Rs 885 for degam and Rs 925 for refined oil. The price of mustard oil was Rs 1035 and the price of refined was Rs 1065. Today in the futures market, the price of castor increased by Rs 91 per kg to reach Rs 5700, while the price of Kudavi was quoted at Rs 5725.
