In order to provide relief to the common people during the festive season, the vigilance wing of the Heritage Corporation is continuously removing the temporary encroachments on the roads and verandahs. Encroachments have been removed from more than 150 places in the city in three days. Apart from this, 24 truckloads of goods have been seized and carrying charges of more than Rs 60 thousand have also been collected.
Deputy Commissioner Vigilance Pushpendra Singh Rathod said that the Vigilance Branch is continuously taking action on the instructions of Heritage Corporation Mayor Kusum Yadav and Commissioner Arun Hasija. This action will continue further also. The number of vehicles in the market is increasing during the festive season. In such a situation, to ensure that the common people do not face any problem and the traffic is also not affected, the corporation is going to the markets and giving advice and if they do not agree, then they are also removing the encroachment with strictness. On Friday also encroachment was removed from 45 places. In which eight truckloads of goods were seized and Rs 6,000 carriage charge was collected.
