Corona volunteer swallowed poison in front of DSP Kharar, condition critical, PGI referred

Kharar: One of the hundreds of Corona volunteers protesting against the government in Kharar, Mohali, swallowed poison in front of Kharar DSP Karan Sandhu, who has been admitted to Kharar Hospital. Seeing his serious condition, the doctors have referred him to PGI, Chandigarh. This Corona volunteer has been identified as Manpreet Singh, who is said to be a resident of Fatehgarh Sahib. It is noteworthy that during the Corona period, Corona volunteers had provided services on the orders of the government and now these same volunteers are demanding jobs from the government.

In this connection, 200 Corona volunteers from across Punjab were protesting at Kharar border demanding jobs from the government. Meanwhile, volunteers also blocked the road. DSP Karan Sandhu also reached the spot with the police party. After which Manpreet Singh opened the bottle in front of him and drank the poisonous substance, although Karan Sandhu tried hard to stop him, but by then the person had already drunk the poisonous substance. DSP Karan Sandhu said that earlier also these people had come to Kharar to protest, but today during the protest one of them swallowed poison and was immediately admitted to the hospital.
