Convicted people will not be able to become active members of BJP: Prakash Pal

Kanpur, 14 October (Hindustan Reporter). Active membership of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will not be given to a person who is convicted. Even if someone becomes a member by hiding the facts, the party will immediately expel him. This information was given by Prakash Pal, President of Kanpur-Bundelkhand region as the chief guest in the active membership workshop of BJP Kanpur North held at Kanpur Guru Nanak Dharamshala Kaushalpur on Monday.

He told that except the booth president and his committee, any person who wants to become a mandal officer will have to have at least 50 general members in his Legislative Assembly, only then he will be able to become an active member. Along with this, he will be given responsibility only if he is an active member of the board's committee. Verification of active membership will take place from November 1 to November 5. If a person is convicted then he cannot become an active member.

BJP's district media in-charge Anurag Sharma said that the workshop was presided over by District President Dipu Pandey. Dipu Pandey told that the general membership campaign will end on October 15 at 12 midnight. After this, the active membership campaign will start from 16th October and will continue till 30th October.
