Jharkhand Assembly Elections: In the assembly elections to be held in Jharkhand, the strategy of attracting the public with sharp attacks between different parties has gained momentum. In such a situation, a controversy has arisen due to the contradiction regarding age in the affidavit of current Chief Minister Hemant Soren. While filing nomination papers, Hemant Soren has stated his age as 49 years in the affidavit. Whereas in the last election his age was 42 years.

Age increased by seven years in five years

Hemant Soren has filed his candidature from Barhet seat of Sahebganj. In which Soren has shown his age as 49 years in the affidavit presented before the Election Commission. Whereas in the affidavit submitted by Soren in 2019, his age was stated as 42 years. That's why rival parties are joking that Soren has grown seven years older in five years.

BJP attacked

Assam Chief Minister and Jharkhand state BJP co-incharge Himanta Biswa Sarma has mocked the contradiction in Hemant Soren's affidavit and said that Hemant Soren's candidature should not be cancelled. The public will defeat him. Meanwhile, BJP state president Babulal Marandi has denied this contradiction and asked the electoral party to draw attention to this matter.

Jharkhand Mukti Morcha defended

After this controversy, JJM leader Manoj Pandey defended Soren and said that JMM is not hiding anything. He has presented all the documents. Verification was also done by the Returning Officer. If BJP fears defeat, it is now hatching such conspiracies. We are not fake people. Many BJP leaders have presented fake degrees in the documents. Hemant Soren is the leader of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha. Which is part of the Congress alliance. Soren is going to contest elections from Barhet seat. This time Jharkhand elections will be interesting because BJP has placed its bet on Gamaliyal Hambrom.

Hambrom had contested the 2019 elections from Barhait on the ticket of All Jharkhand Students Union (AJSU). Where only 2573 votes were received. This time also BJP candidate Hambrom has filed his nomination form from Barhet seat. Voting will be held on 81 seats of Jharkhand Assembly on 13 and 20 November. Counting of votes will take place on November 23.
