Controversy over Chandrashekhar’s statement: Mahakumbh is going to start from 13th January. Mahakumbh 2025 is being organized in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. Sages, saints and devotees are coming from all over the country and the world to participate in it. Mahakumbh will be organized till 26th February. Meanwhile, National President of Azad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram) and MP Chandrashekhar Azad has given a controversial statement regarding Mahakumbh. Giving a statement, Chandrashekhar said, ‘Only those people who have committed sins will go to Mahakumbh.’ Now Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati Maharaj has reacted to this statement.

Shankaracharya’s counterattack on Chandrashekhar Azad’s statement

Shankaracharya, reacting to the MP’s statement, said, ‘So does this mean that only sinners come to Mahakumbh? So what is their motive behind saying that all the people who come here are sinners and those who did not come are pure souls. They mean that those who come to Kumbh are sinners and those who do not come are pure souls. So have you come to Mahakumbh or not? If he is completely innocent then such a pure soul should be seen. We request him to give us darshan.

Jagadguru Shankaracharya further said, ‘We have come here because of our faith and are very happy. This should not be a problem for anyone.

Strong reaction from BJP

After this statement of Chandrashekhar, there has been a strong reaction from BJP. UP government minister Dinesh Pratap Singh had even said that Chandrashekhar Azad’s statement on Kumbh is like a crow. On Kumbha, beautiful sounds like cuckoos are coming from all sides and they are calling like crows sitting in the garden.
