Jaipur, 15 April (HS). On behalf of Congress candidate Pratap Singh Khachariyawas' election agent Mangal Singh Saini, a letter has been written to the Collector asking for saffron color to be painted on road light poles, walls and other places in all the markets of Parkota in Jaipur city with the aim of benefiting a particular party in the Lok Sabha elections. The flag was declared a violation of the code of conduct. Saini had demanded action on this. After this these flags were taken down. Now the controversy on this has deepened.
MLA Balmukund Acharya reached Collectorate on Monday in connection with the removal of saffron flags installed in Jaipur. Here he protested against it by giving a memorandum to Collector Prakash Rajpurohit. He demanded the administration to put back saffron flags and ensigns in the city before Ram Navami. MLA Balmukund Acharya met the Collector and expressed his displeasure over the removal of the saffron flag from Jaipur city overnight. The MLA submitted a memorandum in this regard to the Collector on behalf of the All India Sant Committee. The MLA alleged that after Congress' complaint, the corporation removed the saffron flags overnight. He said that every year a procession is taken out on the occasion of Ram Navami. In view of this procession, saffron flags were put up on houses and shops in the city. We came to know that these saffron flags were removed on the orders of the Collector.
When the MLA talked to the Collector on this matter, the Collector denied that the saffron flags were removed at the behest of the administration. The MLA alleged that after Congress' complaint, the Municipal Corporation removed saffron flags from the entire city. The MLA said that Congress wants the country to be saffron-free. We want the country to be Congress free. Congress people have objection to the saffron flag and the name of Ram. There is nothing to do with elections and Ram's name. Ram Navami is a festival other than elections. Congress will issue the next order that the temples of Ram ji should be locked. The MLA alleged that Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi are going to come to Jaipur. Therefore, on his request, this saffron flag has been removed. He said that he has not received any notice regarding the code of conduct. There is no connection between code of conduct and Ram Navami.
Here, VHP has termed the complaint given by the District Congress Committee to the Election Commission against Vishwa Hindu Parishad regarding the saffron flags and banners installed in the city as false. Vishwa Hindu Parishad Area Minister Suresh Upadhyay, while opposing the complaint of the political party and the lowering of the saffron flag, made it clear through the media that the Vishwa Hindu Parishad has not hoisted the saffron flag for party politics or to give political benefit to anyone and this complaint Is false. He said that Hindu society has been celebrating the festival of Navratri with pomp and show for thousands of years. After the consecration of Lord Ramlala in Ayodhya on 22 January, the entire country is filled with joy. On this occasion, Hindus are expressing their happiness by hoisting the saffron flag which has been a symbol of Hindu society for thousands of years in their establishments, markets and homes and this time special enthusiasm is being seen in Ram Navami.
Upadhyay said that as VHP area minister, I want to tell that Vishwa Hindu Parishad has not put up these saffron flags. Today, all the saffron flags that are visible across the country have been installed by the Hindu society as their symbols. These have nothing to do with party politics. He said that people with anti-Hindu mentality should understand that politics has its place but we request them not to hurt the Hindu society. Vishwa Hindu Parishad has requested the Election Commission to immediately stop the action of taking down the saffron flag, otherwise the sentiments of the Hindu people will be hurt.
In this matter, Minister Kirodilal Meena said that it is unfortunate that Congress is opposing the saffron flag hoisted for the procession on Shri Ram Navami. Congress, which opposed Vedic Sanatan Dharma and Shri Ram Temple built in Ayodhya, has stooped so low in appeasement. All Indians should together boycott Congress.
