The Pension Fund and Regulatory Authority (PFRDA) has provided a new facility to the subscribers for payment of contribution to the National Pension System NPS. They can deposit the contribution on the platform of Bharat Bill Payment System (BBPS) using payment applications like BHIM and PhonePe.
However, subscribers will have to pay a charge for this. They will also have to pay GST as per the rules. The charge can range from 0.50 paise to Rs. 4. PFRDA has introduced the facility of depositing contributions to NPS through Bharat Bill Payment System. BBPS facilitates payment of contributions to services and billers through various platforms like BHIM, Umang and mobile apps of banks and major UPI enabled payment platforms like PhonePe and Google Pay. For easy payment of money, a new additional channel BBPS has been launched through which National Pension System contributions can be paid easily. Customers can now pay contributions using BHIM as well as applications like PhonePe.
