Prayagraj, 06 August (HS). Allahabad High Court has issued a contempt notice to DM Varanasi S Rajlingam for not following the order to investigate the case of missing land documents from Pindra Tehsil. It has been asked why contempt proceedings should not be initiated against him for disobeying the order.
The petition will be heard on October 18. Justice Salil Kumar Rai has given this order on the contempt petition of Kaushal Kishore Rai. It is said in the petition that the petitioner's mother had land in village Pindra of Banaras. The land was transferred to Pushpa Rai's name on the basis of a fake will. Also, the documents related to Pindra tehsil also disappeared.
While disposing of the petition on 20 February 2024, the court had directed DM Varanasi to pass an order as per law within 3 months. Which was not followed.
