Itanagar, 20 February (Hindustan Reporter). Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar said that due to the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and State Chief Minister Pema Khandu, the last village of the state is being developed as the first village of the country. The picture of development of the state has changed due to the construction of roads, airports and railway lines etc. during the last 7 years.
Vice President Dhankhar was addressing the 38th Statehood Day function of Arunachal Pradesh organized at Indira Gandhi Park in the capital Itanagar as the chief guest. Dhankhar congratulated the people of the state and praised the dance of many tribes of the state in the program. He invited dance troupes from two tribes of the state, Tagin and Wangcho, to perform dance at Upa Rashtrapati Bhawan in Delhi. Today due to lack of time he could not see the dance of both the tribes. Praising the beauty and lush green forests of Arunachal Pradesh, the Vice President said that the state has everything that tourists need to make it a tourist home.
Regarding rapid development in Arunachal Pradesh, he said that it is happening due to the focus of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and state Chief Minister Pema Khandu on the development of the state. During the last 7 years, 20 thousand kilometers of roads were constructed in the state, construction of Doni Polo Airport and railway line etc. has changed the picture of development of the state. Praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi's decision to develop the last village of the state as the first village of the country, he promised that he would inspect one of these villages very soon.
Earlier, Chief Minister Pema Khandu welcomed the Vice President and his wife and told about the development taking place in all areas of the state. Khandu said that the state is reaching its destination with the help of the Modi-led BJP government.
On this occasion Governor General (retd) KT Paranaik, Union Earth and Science Minister Kiren Rijiju, Deputy Chief Minister Chona Min and many other ministers, government officials and prominent persons were present. The Vice President hoisted the tricolor national flag and took the salute of the parade. On this occasion, many tribes of the state presented their dance programs.
