Prayagraj, August 10 (HS). “Samvidhan Maan Stambh” was established on Saturday at the Samajwadi Party’s district office in George Town. Chief guest MLC Dr. Mansingh Yadav took the BJP government to task and alleged that ever since the BJP has come to power at the Centre and in the state, democracy and the Constitution have become meaningless in the country.

The MLC said that the BJP government is violating the rights of the common man by ignoring both democracy and the constitution and adopting an arbitrary and dictatorial attitude. The government's pressure on the constitutional institutions of the country is not hidden from anyone. The way the leaders of the opposition parties are being put in jail by using the government machinery, people's houses are being demolished in petty matters, a conspiracy is being hatched to end reservation through privatization and outsourcing, both democracy and the constitution are being mocked by this.

Dr. Mansingh Yadav, District President Anil Yadav, Pappulal Nishad and other leaders unveiled the “Stambh”. Thereafter, the Preamble of the Constitution was recited and a pledge was taken to protect and follow the Constitution.
