Surat/Ahmedabad, September 21 (HS) | Today once again a train accident was averted in the country due to the alertness of the railway keyman. A serious conspiracy to derail a train near Surat's Kim station in Gujarat has been exposed. Unknown persons opened the fish plates on the railway tracks on Friday night and also removed 71 locks connecting the railway tracks. This incident has created a stir in the railway department.
The line on which this conspiracy was executed near Kim station of Baroda division of railways is the up line, i.e. trains going towards Uttar Pradesh pass through this track. Some unknown person had opened the fish plate of the up track of the train and placed it on the track. The local people gave this information to the Deputy Superintendent of Kim station, who alerted the keyman Subhash Kumar in time. After this, when the track was inspected, it was found that someone had hatched a conspiracy to derail the train.
As soon as the information was received, Subhash Kumar took immediate action and alerted all the concerned officials and requested to stop the movement of the train. At that time train number 12910 was coming, which was stopped by showing red flag. After this, the work of repairing the track was started. The train was stopped on KSB main line at 05:27. The track was repaired and the operation was resumed.
