Jaipur, 15 December (Hindustan Reporter). Under the leadership of Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee President Govind Singh Dotasara, Congress workers will protest on Wednesday morning at 11 am by taking out a foot march from the Martyr Memorial in Government Hostel, Jaipur to Raj Bhavan. This demonstration will be held against the central government’s silence and stopping parliamentary discussion on the charges leveled by the US Justice Department against industrialist Gautam Adani and his associates.
Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee General Secretary and media in-charge Swarnim Chaturvedi said that the allegations against Gautam Adani and his associates have presented a worrying picture of corruption, money laundering and market manipulation. This tarnishes the reputation of Indian business and finance and creates a threat of capital flight from the country. Despite this, the central government’s silence on this issue and avoiding parliamentary discussion is a sign of shirking responsibility.
He said that in this protest, the issue of ongoing violence in Manipur and the failure of the Central and BJP government to stop it will also be raised. As per the instructions of All India Congress Committee, the State Congress Committee will lead this protest.
Leader of Opposition Tikaram Julie, party MLAs, MPs, candidates, State Congress Committee officials, AICC and PCC members, District and Block Congress Committee Presidents, public representatives of municipal bodies and Panchayat Raj institutions and prominent Congressmen will participate in this demonstration.
