Congress workers paid tribute to Indira Hridayesh on her death anniversary

Rishikesh, June 13 (HS). On the death anniversary of senior Congress leader Indira Hridayesh, party workers on Thursday paid tribute to her by garlanding her photo.

A tribute program was organized in Congress Bhawan on Thursday under the chairmanship of city president Rakesh Singh. In the program, former president Mahant Vinay Saraswat said that Indira Hridayesh was active in government and politics from Uttar Pradesh to Uttarakhand. In 2002, she won the election from Haldwani assembly and when Congress came to power, she was made the minister of PWD, property, information, parliamentary affairs, science and technology in the government of Chief Minister Narayan Dutt Tiwari. She represented India in research, studies etc. in different fields in countries like Vienna, Germany, France, Switzerland, Paris, England, China, Japan, Canada, America, Johannesburg-South Africa, Cairo-Egypt, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, USA, Malaysia, Singapore etc. Losing such a personality is a great loss for Congress and Uttarakhand.
