Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024: Congress has announced the second list of candidates for Maharashtra Assembly elections. In which names of 23 candidates have been announced. Congress has announced 71 candidates so far. In this list, Congress has announced to field Girish Krishnarao Pandav from South Nagpur against Deputy CM and Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Devendra Fadnavis.
The ticket of Shrirampur MLA Lahu Kande has been canceled. Hemant Ogle has been made the candidate in his place. Sunil Kedar's wife Anuja Kedar has been made the candidate from Savner. Meanwhile, strong candidate Suresh Bhoyar has been given a chance against Bharatiya Janata Party state president Chandrashekhar Bawankule.
Distribution of seats in Mahavikas Aghadi
Maharashtra Congress president Nana Patole on Thursday confirmed that the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) has reached an agreement on seat sharing for the Maharashtra Assembly elections 2024. According to him, all the alliance partners of Congress, Shiv Sena (Uddhav faction) and Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar) will contest elections on 85-85 seats. Moreover, Shiv Sena (Uddhav faction) leader Sanjay Raut has also confirmed that all MVA allies will contest on each of the 85 seats.
