Kishanganj, 30 September (Hindus). Now Congress has also opened a front against the smart meters being installed in Bihar. In a press conference held at the District Congress Office on Mahavir Marg on Monday, Kishanganj Congress in-charge cum Kadwa MLA Shakeel Ahmed has announced to protest in the entire state against the smart meter scheme.

He said that the State Congress will launch a massive mass movement in the entire state regarding prepaid smart electricity meters in the state. He said that the smart electricity meter scheme is a joint grand scheme of PM Modi and CM Nitish Kumar. Installing prepaid smart meters in a poor and backward state like Bihar is a big injustice on the people of Bihar. Congress party will never tolerate this.

MLA Shakeel Ahmed said that prepaid smart meters are being installed in Bihar to fill Adani's coffers. This scheme should be stopped immediately. He told that Adani's companies do the work of supplying coal to the power companies in the country. Due to this, electricity has become very expensive. Now Adani experts suggested smart electricity prepaid meter, in which the scheme of Mahaloot is being executed through technical billing.

During this, Kishanganj Congress in-charge cum Kadwa MLA Shakeel Ahmed said that INDIA is against smart meters. The workers of the alliance will hold rallies, strikes, protests and dharnas for a week from 2nd October i.e. the day of Gandhi Jayanti. A press conference will be organized against this scheme by all the district coordinators. An awareness campaign against electricity smart prepaid meters will be run in 13 districts of the state from 02 to 07 October. He said that on October 16, a state level protest will be organized against the smart meter prepaid scheme. On the occasion, Kishanganj District President of Congress Imam Ali Chintu, Azad Sahil, Mohd. Congress workers including Ahsan were present.
