Congress MLA Arvind Ladani resigns from assembly membership

Junagadh, March 6 (Hindustan Reporter) Another Congress MLA has resigned from the membership of the Assembly on Wednesday. Congress MLA Arvind Ladani from Manavadar Assembly seat of Junagadh district resigned from the membership of the Assembly after visiting the residence of Assembly Speaker Shankarbhai Choudhary on Wednesday evening. Now there is a possibility of him joining BJP any time. Junagadh BJP MLA Sanjay Koradia was also present with Ladani while going to the Assembly Speaker.

Congress MLA Arvind Ladani first lost the election to BJP candidate Jawahar Chavda in the by-election held in the year 2019, but three years later, he became MLA by defeating BJP's Jawahar Chavda in the assembly elections held in the year 2022. Arvind Ladani is considered close to former Porbandar MLA Arjun Modhwadia. Modhwadia formally joined BJP on March 5. After this, the discussion about Ladani also joining BJP started. Ladani's phone was also switched off for the last 3 days. After Ladani's resignation, he can now join BJP any time. The news of his resignation is coming at a time when Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra will enter Gujarat via Rajasthan on March 7. Within a few days, many senior Congress leaders joining BJP will have a heavy impact on Rahul Gandhi's journey in many ways.

Porbandar MLA Arjun Modhwadia had left the party after former Rajula MLA and senior Ahir community leader Ambrish Der left the Congress. Earlier, Congress Rajya Sabha member Naran Rathwa, Khambhat Congress MLA Chirag Patel, Vijapur MLA CJ Chavda have resigned from Congress and joined BJP.
