Maharashtra Politics: Assembly elections are over in Maharashtra, but there is still doubt over the new state government. The Mahayuti alliance that won the elections is still considering the post of Chief Minister, while the defeated Maha Vikas Aghadi has not yet recovered from the defeat. Now the process of allegations and counter-allegations has started in Mahavikas Aghadi also. Leader of Opposition in Maharashtra Legislative Council Ambadas Danve has made a big claim and said, ‘Congress’s overconfidence is responsible for the defeat in the state.’
Five days after the results, Shiv Sena (Uddhav faction) leader Ambadas Danve blamed the Congress and said, ‘The main reason for the defeat of Maha Vikas Aghadi is the overconfidence of the Congress, due to which we lost. Keeping the future in mind, we will strengthen Shiv Sena (Uddhav group) on all 288 seats in the state.
Big blow to Congress for the first time
Ambadas Danve is a senior leader of Shiv Sena (Uddhav faction) and also the leader of opposition in the Legislative Council. For the first time after the election results, a senior leader of the Grand Alliance spoke openly and directly held Congress responsible for the defeat.
Attacking the Congress, he said, ‘Every leader of the Congress was ready wearing a suit, they were overconfident and this overconfidence became the reason for the defeat. Seat sharing continued till the last minute and by showing the Lok Sabha election results in the name of survey, the seat was grabbed and lost.
Talking about strengthening the party after the elections, Ambadas Danav said, ‘Looking at the future, we have expressed our feelings to the Shiv Sena (Uddhav faction) chief that in the future we should strengthen ourselves on all 288 seats. Even if we lose all the seats, don’t contest the elections. Corporation elections are still far away, but the party needs to strengthen its organization. After the defeat in the elections, Shiv Sainiks have expressed their feelings to Uddhav Thackeray in a meeting called in Matoshree.
‘It would have been wrong if BJP had made Shinde the CM’
Eknath Shinde, one of the strong contenders for the post of Chief Minister of Maharashtra, removed himself from the post of Chief Minister on Wednesday (November 27). About which Ambadas Demon said, ‘BJP itself is in majority. In such a situation, such a thing should not have been expected. If BJP had made Eknath Shinde the Chief Minister, that too would have been wrong. But if Shinde is a face then is there no face in BJP? Has this meeting taken place without a face?
