Shimla, 14 October (HIST). Opposition party BJP says that the Central Government is giving full assistance to Himachal for the development of infrastructure, but the ruling Congress here is playing with the interests of Himachal by disregarding the Center on this issue.
State President BJP Rajeev Bindal said on Monday that the Central Government contributes the most in the infrastructure development of Himachal Pradesh and especially the Narendra Modi government has contributed the most in the infrastructure development. He said that there was a revolution in the construction of rural roads in Himachal Pradesh only because of the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana which was started by Atal Bihari Vajpayee in Himachal and at present 50 percent of the rural roads are constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana. Even at present, thousands of crores of rupees are being given continuously by the Central NDA government under the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana.
Rajiv Bindal said that the revolution that has taken place in the last 7-8 years in the construction of big roads in the state has started rewriting the future of Himachal. The construction of four lane highway is the contribution of Narendra Modi government only. The work of connecting Himachal Pradesh from one end to the other is going on at a fast pace with an investment of about Rs 40 thousand crores. Due to the construction of these roads, there has been and is a radical change in traffic. Saving of time and money is all happening due to the construction of these four lane highways.
Bindal said that Congress leaders and the present Congress government are unsuccessfully trying to negate all these achievements. Development of infrastructure is the biggest basis of development of our state and the contribution of the state government in this infrastructure development is negligible and it is only foolishness of Congress to deny and deny this contribution of the Central Government.
