Padma Shri and former MP Dr. Ramdayal Munda's birth anniversary was celebrated at the State Congress Headquarters on Friday under the chairmanship of State Congress President Keshav Mahato Kamlesh. He worked lifelong on the basic issues of Jharkhand – water, forest, identity, language and culture. His contribution to the development of Jharkhand cannot be forgotten.
Leader of the Congress Legislature Party, Dr. Rameshwar Oraon said that when Dr. Munda took over the charge of the Tribal Language Department in Ranchi University, after that the language and culture of this place got recognition at the national and international level. As per his directions, writers, theatre artists and artists used language and culture to make the public aware for the demand of a separate state. In view of his scholarship, despite working in a university in America, he was called and given the responsibility of the department.
