Bettiah, 21 November (HS). A felicitation ceremony was organized at Saraswati Vidya Mandir Barwat Sena, Bettiah to honor Dr. Jwala Prasad, an alumnus of the school who is the Director of Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti Delhi, for receiving the Mahatma Gandhi Leadership Award 2024. The program started with Vandana Sabha. On this occasion, Bettiah Sadar Deputy Superintendent of Police Vivek Deep, Araria Civil Court Judge Mr. Rajan Kumar, Maharani Janaki Kunwar Mahavidyalaya Principal Prof. RK Choudhary, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s Champaran department union leaders Raj Kishore Prasad and Shweta Verma, school All the Acharyas and many former students were present. Alok Kumar Alumni Council President and Convenor Nitish Bhatt contributed immensely in making the program a success.
School President PK Chakraborty, Principal Vinod Kumar, DSP Vivek Deep Bettiah Sadar presented different clothes, flower bunch and diary pen to Dr. Jwala Prasad. Besides, department union driver Raj Kishore Prasad, Prof. RK Choudhary, Rajan Kumar, Neeraj Kumar, Raman Gupta, DSP Vivek Deep were also honored with body clothes. Dr. Jwala Prasad inspired the students of the school to work hard by setting goals in their life. Prasad said that work is not small or big, hence every work should be done with full dedication. While delivering the presidential address, the President of the school called Dr. Jwala Prasad the lotus of the school and Champaran. The dignitaries present on the stage were introduced by Principal Vinod Kumar and former student head Jai Kishore Singh. Vote of thanks was given by department head Anil Kumar Ram and principal Vinod Kumar. The program ended with peace mantra.
