Jammu and Kashmir Election Updates: Political parties are preparing to win assembly seats in Jammu and Kashmir. In such a situation, the alliance between Farooq Abdullah's party National Conference and Congress has become difficult. According to sources, out of 90 assembly seats, Congress intends to contest on this seat on 50-50 formula. Congress is claiming victory on 45 out of 90 seats, while Farooq Abdullah's party is ready to give only 20 to 25 seats to Congress.

Abdullah does not want an alliance with Mehbooba Mufti

According to sources, Congress leaders at the district level are recommending to contest the elections on their own will, however the final decision will be of the Congress high command. Abdullah has put some conditions for the alliance with Congress. He does not want an alliance of National Congress with the PDP alliance. During the Lok Sabha elections, NC and Congress contested the elections together. But Mehbooba Mufti's party was not a part of the alliance.

Earlier alliance between Congress and National Congress

There has already been an alliance between Congress and National Congress in the assembly elections. Both parties are part of the India Alliance. Congress and National Congress have also ruled in alliance in Jammu and Kashmir.

Will meet Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi

Assembly elections are to be held in Jammu and Kashmir in three phases from September 18. In which Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge will visit Jammu and Kashmir for two days to inspect the party's preparations for the assembly elections. He will reach Srinagar on Wednesday. Where on Thursday he will hold discussions with party leaders and workers from 10 districts of Kashmir Valley. In which he will also meet senior leaders of National Conference to discuss the alliance.
