News India Live, Digital Desk: Nowadays the government is running many wonderful schemes to empower women. Be it ‘Ladli Behna’ or ‘Majhi Ladki Baheen’ scheme, the money coming into the account every month has given some financial freedom to women. Be it small household expenses or children’s fees, this amount of ₹ 1500 (in some states) provides a lot of support.
But, the year 2025 is about to end and with the beginning of the new year, there may be some strictness in the rules. If you want this money to keep coming into your bank account without any stop even in 2026, then 31 December 2025 Before leaving, finish a very important task.
Let us understand in simple language what the government wants and what you have to do.
Why is 31st December a special date?
The government has made it clear that in the new year, money will be sent to the accounts of only those women whose bank accounts are fully funded. Update will be. It often happens that due to small shortage, government money gets stuck and we keep making rounds of the bank. Therefore, the government has given everyone a chance to get their ‘paper work’ in order before the year ends.
It is most important to do this work (e-KYC and DBT)
Even if money is coming into your account now, do not be careless. Check these two things immediately:
- Enable DBT: Government money comes through ‘Direct Benefit Transfer’ (DBT). If DBT is not active in your bank account, or Aadhar card is not linked (Aadhar seeded), then the next installment will be stopped.
- What to do: Go to your bank branch and check whether your Aadhaar is linked with the bank and DBT option is ‘On’ or not.
- Aadhaar Card Update: If the photo in your Aadhaar card is very old or the surname has changed after marriage but not in Aadhaar, then get it updated immediately. The spelling of the name in Aadhaar and bank account should be exactly the same.
keep mobile number active
This seems like a very small thing, but many sisters change their mobile number and do not update it on the bank or scheme portal. OTP comes on the same number. So make sure that your registered mobile number is active and has recharge.
What if you have not applied?
In some states (like Maharashtra, Himachal Pradesh or others) where ₹1500 is being given, December 31st may be a cut-off date for fresh applications or for any correction. If you are eligible and have not yet filled the form, then check by visiting your nearest Anganwadi center or e-Mitra center.
