Hamirpur, 15 October (HS). Deputy Commissioner Amarjeet Singh has given instructions to complete all the development works approved under the Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojana at the earliest. While presiding over the meeting of the district level convergence committee of this scheme on Tuesday, Amarjeet Singh said that the Block Development Officer and Tehsil Welfare Officer should review these works regularly and establish coordination with the concerned Panchayat Secretaries and Heads.
The Deputy Commissioner said that in the year 2022-23, 5 villages of district Hamirpur, Darogan, Daduhi, Dhirad, Maharal and Malag, were included in the Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojana and village development plans were prepared for these villages. A total of 167 development works have been sanctioned for these villages and out of these, 38 works have been completed. The Deputy Commissioner said that if there is any dispute regarding any work or there is any other obstacle or that work is not possible then a proposal for some other work should be prepared in its place. He said that all concerned Panchayats should take special care of convergence in these works. As soon as the work is completed, do its online reporting and uploading immediately.
The Deputy Commissioner said that last time District Hamirpur had secured first position in the entire country in the implementation of this scheme. All officers and Panchayat public representatives should work diligently to maintain this place. In the meeting, Executive District Welfare Officer Baldev Singh Chandel presented detailed details of the progress of various development works.
