The month of May has started from today. There will be no work in banks for 14 days this month. Due to various reasons, banks will remain closed for 8 days at different places in the country. Apart from these, there will also be bank holidays on 4 Sundays and 2 Saturdays. The month of May is starting with holidays.
According to the holiday calendar released by RBI, there will be a total of 14 bank holidays in May. In this, 2 days will be Saturday and 4 days will be Sunday, hence there will be 6 days holiday in banks. According to the list of holidays given on the official website of RBI, these holidays are in different states. All these holidays will not be applicable in all states. Additionally, banks will remain closed on polling day in the constituency due to Lok Sabha elections.
