Kutch News: An aware citizen in Bhuj has been forced to file a complaint under the Land Grabbing Act-2020 to vacate government land worth Rs 200 crore. The corrupt government machinery was reminded in the Chief Minister's welcome program since the year 2018, but the original pressure area was increased from 7000 square meters to 30000 square meters. No action has been taken yet.

As per government records only 3800 sq.m. land has been allotted by the Collector of Kutch on new undivided terms for the hotel industry, but as per the site, 8 co-owners of Hill View Resort have complained of open encroachment on the land under applicable government traverse 870/1. But long live the corrupt government system. Till date the double engine collector has not been able to vacate the land under pressure or does not want to vacate it.

According to the land grabbing complaint, about 30000 square meters of land has been grabbed. There is pressure. The complainant has presented before the committee the photographs showing the encroachment area in Google image and revenue records and as per the market value of the airport road touching the government property, the encroachment has been estimated to be Rs 200 crore.

The 8 co-owners of Hill View Resort have been organising wedding parties on large party plots built on stressed land in the last 8 years and have spent Rs. 5-7 lakhs and earned crores by collecting Rs. 1.50-2.00 lakhs for small party plots and halls at Rs. 0.75 lakhs.

A car parking area of more than 3000 square meters has been built by cutting the hill next to this hotel, but why Mamlatdar Gramya and Bhustar Shastri did not see this, this is the question of the complainant. According to the Government Resolution 16-7-2022, Mamlatdar has been given full responsibility of protecting government properties, but he has refused to report till date. The current Kutch Collector has also proved to be inactive towards his duty. Actually, the entire responsibility of guarding government lands lies with the Mamlatdars, when they fail completely in this, when a conscious citizen informs them in writing about their duty, then these collectors do not take any action for a year or two.
