Prayagraj, July 20 (HS). The Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Board conducted the High School Compartment-Improvement and Intermediate Compartment examinations of the year 2024 on Saturday in a fair, copy-free and peaceful manner.
UP Board Secretary Bhagwati Singh said that more than 41 thousand students appeared for UP Board compartment exams under the surveillance of CCTVs equipped with voice recorders at a total of 93 examination centres in the state. No candidate was found using unfair means in both the shifts of the exam.
The secretary informed that as per the information received from divisions and districts, no untoward situation arose in any district during the examination and the examination was conducted safely. Out of the total 20,729 registered candidates in the first shift of compartment-improvement examination of high school, 1,851 candidates were absent and out of the total 23,633 registered candidates in the second shift of intermediate compartment, 1,350 candidates were absent. Thus, a total of 3,201 candidates were absent in the examination of both the shifts.
