Come forward to help women from weaker sections during festivals: Kavita Malviya

Varanasi, 29 October (Hindustan Reporter). On the initiative of Pannadhay Smriti Seva Trust, the poor illiterate adult women of Bhullanpur (Manduwadih) were encouraged to read and write by giving them gifts on the occasion of Dhanteras. In the program organized at Rama Garden, Kavita Malviya, Principal Trustee of the Trust and Kashi Mahanagar Convenor of Swadeshi Jagran Manch, Bina Singh, Founder of Ideal Women Welfare Society, presented a saree as a gift to the trained fifty-four-year-old Matrishakti on the festival. Urged the affluent section of the society to come forward to help the women of weaker section during festivals. So that the festival lights and happiness remain in their homes also.

Kavita Malviya, Principal Trustee of the Trust, said that the adult women of Bhullanpur village were taught the importance of education and were taught to read and write at this age. Now these women have learned to sign to withdraw money from the bank and deposit savings. It is a matter of happiness that these women have started reading books along with newspapers. These women will also inspire other women of the village to study and write. Kavita Malviya told that Pannadhay Smriti Seva Trust not only appreciates the contribution of midwives and nurses but also honors them. The organization strives to honor those women who remain dedicated to their homes as well as to the homes of others. The society calls them maids, midwives, nurses etc. As circumstances have changed in the last few years, people are beginning to understand that they are our helpers. Yogita Tiwari of Bareka Trade Board also participated in the program.
