Maharashtra Politics: Amid the ongoing political turmoil in Maharashtra, a major incident took place on Sunday (August 18). During the Jan Samman Yatra of Deputy CM Ajit Pawar, party workers led by a BJP leader showed black flags. Reacting to the incident, the Nationalist Congress Party (Ajit faction) demanded that Devendra Fadnavis clarify whether he agreed with the behaviour of his BJP workers.

BJP leader Asha Buchak claimed, 'NCP (Ajit Group) is trying to field its candidate in Junnar seat for the upcoming assembly elections. They are trying to strangle us. That is why we have adopted an aggressive stance.'
Junnar assembly constituency is represented by NCP MLA Atul Benke. BJP alleges that Ajit Pawar is trying to promote Atul Benke. It is worth noting that Asha Buchke was earlier in Shiv Sena and she had also contested assembly elections twice, but she had to face defeat. Now she is hoping for an assembly election ticket from Junnar.
On the other hand, NCP (Ajit faction) spokesperson Amol Mitkari said, 'Jan Samman Yatra is an independent program of our party. Those who are showing black flags should organize a separate program. We want an explanation from Devendra Fadnavis on this behavior of his party workers.
