A major accident has happened in Punjab. An accident has taken place between a car and a truck. The car was completely destroyed in this accident. Four people including a 6-year-old child have died in this accident. Police reached the spot and seized the vehicles. The bodies have also been sent for post-mortem.
There were 5 people in the car
The accident took place in Hoshiarpur, Punjab. A tanker truck hit a Toyota car at around 7 am on Saturday. There were 5 people in the car including the driver. According to ASI Rajesh Kumar, the accident was very horrific. 4 people including the driver died in this accident. A 6-year-old child is also among the dead. A woman is seriously injured. She has been admitted to the hospital. Police is investigating the matter.
A 16-year-old teenager also died
According to the police, Farooq Ahmed, a resident of Katra, had come to Punjab with his brother Arif Ahmed and wife Sarish Nazneen. Two children Mobish (17) and Arshlan (16) were also in the car. Farooq, Arif, Arshlan and Mobish died in the accident. Sarish was seriously injured. Sarish has been admitted to a hospital in Amritsar. He is still undergoing treatment. The bodies have been sent to the civil hospital for postmortem.
The family was going to Chandigarh
In the initial investigation, the police came to know that Farooq's brother Arif Ahmed was ill. He was ill for the last several days. Everyone left Katra at 3 am to get Arif treated in Chandigarh. At around 7 pm, a tanker hit the car on Hoshiarpur-Tanda road. The police have registered a complaint in this matter and are investigating further. Police say that the truck driver fled from the spot immediately after the collision. The truck is from Himachal Pradesh. The police is searching for the driver.
