Collision between bus and tempo in Shahkot, 2 dead, 7 injured | Live Updates, Unveiling the Latest India News Trends

Jalandhar News: Two people, including a woman, died in a horrific road accident in Shahkot city of Jalandhar. The accident happened at Parjiyan Kalan turn in Shahkot village. According to the information received, two people died during treatment in the collision between a Punjab Roadways bus and a tempo. About 7 people have been seriously injured in this incident. According to the information, at around 10 am today, Punjab Roadways bus of Batala Deputy was going from Shahkot to Moga. Meanwhile, a tempo full of passengers from village Parjiyan Kalan was coming from Shahkot. When both the vehicles reached the service lane of Shahkot-Moga National Highway, a little ahead of Puriwale petrol pump, they collided. 2 people died and 7 were seriously injured in this accident.

Tempo driver Chet Ram and woman Kamaljit Kaur were taken to Government Hospital Nakodar by private vehicles, where both of them died during treatment. The remaining injured were brought to Government Hospital Shahkot by 108 ambulance, where Dr. Mandeep Singh, who was on duty, referred the injured to Jalandhar after first aid.

As soon as the accident was known, ASI Sarwan Singh reached the spot with the police party and started investigation by taking the bus into custody. He told that the bodies of tempo driver Chet Ram and Kamaljit Kaur who died in the accident have been kept in the government hospital of Nakodar for postmortem and on the basis of the statements of the family members of the deceased, A.I. Police has registered a case against the bus driver.
