Raipur, June 22 (HS). Balodabazar district collector Deepak Soni and senior superintendent of police Vijay Agarwal reviewed the work of revenue and police department officials on Saturday regarding the law and order of the district. In the meeting, all SDMs and SDOPs were instructed to strengthen the information system at the ground level and increase police patrolling. The collector has instructed the concerned officials to compulsorily hold peace committee meetings in villages from time to time and keep a constant vigil on religious places.
Collector Soni said that before obtaining permission for a rally, dharna or demonstration, the organizer and the person must submit an affidavit to the competent authority, without which permission will not be given and strict action will be taken as per rules for not following the above rules. In the meeting, Deepak Soni said that on getting information about any kind of dispute or problem in the villages, the tehsildar and the police station in-charge should immediately reach the village and resolve the problem. Along with this, in case of any dispute in the forest areas, the forest department has also been instructed to resolve it immediately.
Soni said that the revenue and police staff are the backbone of the administration, so all of you should work better in coordination with each other. Along with this, try to reduce road accidents by ensuring that road safety rules are followed in the district. For this, all of you should immediately mark all the black spots in the district. The help of the Public Works Department and the RTO should also be taken in this work. The team should soon mark these places and submit a detailed report to me.
In the meeting, Senior Superintendent of Police Vijay Agarwal instructed the police department officials to work in mutual coordination. He stressed on increasing patrolling in rural areas. Additional Collector Dipti Gaute, Additional Superintendent of Police, all SDMs, SDOPs, TIs and Tehsildars were present in the meeting.
