Collector Namrata Gandhi gave instructions regarding security in tourist places and dam areas

Dhamtari, August 5 (HS). Precautions should be taken around tourist places and dams. The picturesque view of the dam areas is attracting everyone during the rainy season. A large number of people are reaching Gangrel Dam, Murumsilli Dam, Dudhwa, Sondhur, Rudri Barrage area, Narhara waterfall these days to see the view. Many people put their lives in danger at these places for taking selfies. The administration has issued strict guidelines regarding possible accidents in the tourist area.

During the rainy season, not only the residents of the district but also tourists from far-off places visit the tourist places of the district including Gangrel reservoir and Narhara waterfall etc. In view of this, Collector Namrata Gandhi and Superintendent of Police Anjaneya Varshney held a meeting in the Collectorate hall on August 5 and gave necessary instructions to the officials.

He instructed the officials to stop tourists going to take selfies in case of high water flow in Gangrel and Narhara and to be cautious. Along with this, they were asked to make parking arrangements, parking for those coming from Magarlod in Narhara, put up notice boards, prepare barricading, electricity, control room and mark the place at Rudreshwar Ghat Rudri. The collector said that a fine should also be imposed on those who do not follow the rules.
