On Friday, the coldest was felt in Pusa, Bihar, where the minimum temperature was recorded at 6 degrees Celsius. Madhubani, on the other hand, was the hottest place in the state, where the maximum temperature was recorded at 26.5 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature in the capital Patna on Friday was 23 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was 12.5 degrees Celsius.
70 percent humidity increases cold in Patna
70 percent humidity was recorded in Patna on Thursday, which further increased the feeling of cold. According to Sanjay Kumar, senior scientist of Patna Meteorological Centre, the effect of heavy snowfall in the mountainous areas of the Himalayas is also being seen in Bihar. The cold winds coming from the north-west direction have engulfed the entire state.
The Meteorological Department estimates that there will be a continuous decline in temperature in the next two weeks. Cold is at its peak in Bihar in the last fortnight of December. As the icy winds become stronger, melting will increase and people will have to face shivering.

The effect of winter is clearly visible on the daily routine of the capital Patna. The temperature is falling rapidly since sunset. A drop of 7 degrees Celsius was observed in the temperature by 7 pm on Friday evening. Due to this, the crowd in the markets started reducing.
There was silence in the markets till 9 pm. The movement of people on the roads also reduced drastically. Due to cold, people are returning to their homes early.

Experts say that due to continuous snowfall in the Himalayas, the effect of cold is increasing in Bihar. The Meteorological Department estimates that the minimum temperature in most parts of Bihar may reach 6 to 8 degrees Celsius in the next 15 days.
