On Saturday, the cold is gradually increasing due to rain in Delhi-NCR. The sun came out on Tuesday but cold winds continued to blow. The maximum temperature of Delhi can be 23 degrees and the minimum temperature can be 7 degrees.
Possibility of fog in these states
Cold wave is going on in Haryana, Delhi, Chandigarh, Rajasthan, UP, Punjab, Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh, Uttarakhand on Tuesday due to icy winds. Apart from this, dense fog is observed in Himachal Pradesh, UP, Bihar, Jharkhand, Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Mizoram and Tripura. The lowest temperature of this season was recorded at -5.4 degrees Celsius in Srinagar on Monday. While Sonamarg was the coldest with -9.7 degrees. The mercury was recorded at -9.0 degrees in Gulmarg. Kedarnath and Badrinath Dham received the first snowfall of the season. Here, a rain warning has been issued in South India. Warning of heavy rain has been issued in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karnataka.
Chance of heavy snowfall
According to the Meteorological Department, due to western disturbance, there may be heavy snowfall in the mountains in the coming days. There is a possibility of increase in cold in the plains also. After this the mercury will reduce. Meanwhile, Delhi’s air quality was once again recorded in the moderate category. It is likely to remain like this for the next two days. The city’s 24-hour average air quality index was recorded at 234 at 4 pm on Tuesday. Whereas on Monday it remained in the moderate 186 range.
