Chandigarh: Cold wave continued in many districts of Punjab including Chandigarh on Wednesday. In the last 24 hours, the maximum temperature of Punjab has increased by 0.4 degrees and the temperature of Chandigarh has increased by 0.3 degrees. However, the average temperature is 3 degrees below normal.
The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert that the same situation will continue till December 14. There is no possibility of rain at present. According to the Meteorological Department, the districts which will be affected by the cold wave include Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Hoshiarpur, Nawanshahr, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Firozpur, Fazilka, Faridkot, Muktsar, Bathinda, Mansa, Sangrur, Rupnagar and others. This has been recorded in the districts. Meanwhile, health experts have advised to avoid morning and evening cold. Experts also recommend wearing warm clothes and adopting other safety measures.
