Cold wave and dense fog continue in North India

The common man is facing a lot of problems due to cold weather and dense fog in the hilly and plain areas of North India.

The minimum temperature in Jammu and Kashmir’s Srinagar was recorded at minus 5.3 degrees Celsius between Monday and Tuesday, which is the second lowest temperature of this season.

According to the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature was recorded at minus 6.8 degrees Celsius in Pahalgam, minimum temperature at Qazigund was minus 6 degrees and minimum temperature was recorded at minus 4 degrees Celsius in Gulmarg.

Konibal was the coldest place in the Kashmir valley with a minimum temperature of minus 8.5 degrees Celsius. The temperature was recorded at minus 5.6 degrees Celsius in Kupwara and minus 5.7 degrees Celsius in Kokernag.

Talking about North India, severe cold continues in many areas of Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.

In view of the cold, the Meteorological Department in Himachal Pradesh has issued an orange alert for two days in four districts. Lahaul and Spiti district recorded a minimum temperature of minus 6.5 degrees Celsius.

Minus 2.1 degrees Celsius was recorded in Manali and 7.6 degrees Celsius in Shimla. The minimum temperature in Delhi today was 5.9 degrees Celsius.

The temperature was recorded at zero degree Celsius in Faridkot, Punjab. Due to fog, visibility remained 50 to 200 meters in many areas of Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.
